Brett Thompson
As a professional surfer in the 1980’s, Brett was in a group of surfers that pioneered the use of video for capturing spontaneous action sports in difficult and dangerous locations. His entire existence has revolved around extreme ocean sports and trying to bring the adventure and passion for life to others. He has spent his life sailing in virtually every ocean on the planet. After studying Industrial Psychology and Economics at Pepperdine University, he worked in the surfing industry as promotions manager and marketing director for Hobie Sports, O’Neill Wetsuits, and Town & Country Surf Designs. He formed the first collaboration between a major corporation, Nordstrom, and the surfing industry, helping to open the door for the surfing industry to mainstream society. Later he formed Taga Enterprises, Ltd., a successful development corporation.
